About Ardehbil Carpets:
Carpets from Ardehbil ( Ardebil ) have excellent visibility and are often referred to as Persian Kazaks because of their similarity to Kazaks carpets. They have a nomadic look and are gorgeous carpets. They go well with contemporary, traditional, and modern decors and are highly sought after in western houses.
The quality of Ardabil carpets is excellent. Due to the high demand for good Kazaks carpets, the majority of Ardabil carpets have also kept their prices high.

Ardahbil carpets come in different sizes (similar to Tabriz), but the majority of them are mid-size (4x6 to 8x10 feet). You can also find large rugs up to 10 x 18 feet.Dark red, pink, khaki, soft green, and ivory form the majority of colors. The Soft wool, thin, very well textured pile on mostly cotton base, the weft is either cotton or wool. Silk is also used as weft on fine Ardabil rugs.Weavers in Ardibil use Persian knots. You should check the back of the carpet because the quality of the carpet depends upon the number of knots, which varies, but averages around 120 KPSI (30 RAJ). There are many different grades of rugs made in this region, ranging from medium to fine. Carpets and rugs from Ardibil are beautiful and there is a particularly high demand for old ones, so they are more expensive than carpets from the surrounding area..

The city of Ardebi( Ardahbil ) is located 639 kilometers from Tehran, the national capital, west of the volcanic mount of Sabalan. The weather of the province varies during winter between extreme cold on the mountains, to moderate on the plains. The name of Ardabil comes from the Avesta (The sacred book of Zoroastrians). "Artavil" means a tall holy place. Some historians trace the establishment of Ardabil to "Bazan Firooz."

Archaeologists have recently found some historical elements in Nameen, a nearby town belonging to the 12th-16th century BC. The Oratoie epigraph (7-9 century BC), found in Arasbaran, mentions that civilized people lived in the region of Ardabil at that time. Ardabil province enjoys geographical and environmental diversity. The district of Ardehbil consists mainly mountainous and is surrounded by the mountains of Talesh and Bozghoosh. The famous mountain of Sabalan is located in Ardabil. The average elevation is more than 3000 meters above sea level, and the peak of Sabalan , which is located on the northwest of the district, is 4811 meters. Generally speaking, the district of Ardehbil is one of the coldest areas of Iran with very cold conditions for 5-8 months a year. The summers, on the other hand, are quite hot.
